Understanding Supply Chain Chaos: Lessons from Covid

I’ve worked in Supply Chain for over 25 years. The breakdown in our global supply chain during Covid created absolute chaos and impacted every person in many different ways including myself.

As a supply planner working with corporations eagerly adopting The Toyota Way and Just In Time philosophies, I had so much difficulty understanding why Lean practices were so crucial to employees with desk jobs. I understood the concept within a manufacturing environment, but never really grasped the history of WHY a corporation would wholeheartedly jump so quickly as early adopters.

If you want to deep dive into the behind-the-curtain challenges of how a product is manufactured, shipped and delivered into customer’s hands, you’ll enjoy this book.

If you do read it, let me know in the comments what you thought of it.
